Digital signature built into the process, not added at the end
Printing a contract, signing it, scanning it, and emailing it back is slow, error-prone, and hard to track. Nintex eSign, formerly known as Nintex AssureSign, replaces that loop with legally binding electronic signatures that are part of the same workflow that created the document.
In a typical project we connect three steps. First, Nintex DocGen builds the document from data you already have: a form submission, a SharePoint list, or a Salesforce opportunity. Next, Nintex eSign sends it to each signer in the right order, with reminders and a full record of every action. Finally, the signed copy is saved automatically to the right SharePoint library or record, with the metadata your team needs to find it later.
The result is a process where nobody has to chase paperwork, and where you can show exactly who signed what and when.

Frequently asked questions
Are electronic signatures legally binding in the United States?
Yes. The federal ESIGN Act and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), adopted by Florida and most other states, give electronic signatures the same legal effect as handwritten ones for most business documents. Some documents have special rules, so check with your counsel for edge cases.
Is Nintex eSign the same as Nintex AssureSign?
Yes. Nintex AssureSign was renamed Nintex eSign. Existing AssureSign customers keep their capabilities, and we support both names in documentation and training.
Do signers need an account?
No. Signers receive a secure link by email and can sign from a computer, tablet, or phone.
Can e-signature work with Salesforce?
Yes. Combined with Nintex DocGen for Salesforce, documents can be generated from Salesforce records, sent for signature, and stored back on the record.
How do we keep a record of signed documents?
Every signature request keeps an audit trail of when the document was sent, viewed, and signed. We configure the workflow to store the signed copy and that history together, in SharePoint or on the related record, so they are easy to retrieve for audits.
